Because the friends and family beta just opened for it I'm wondering how many of us KFLians will be getting it. I think it looks pretty groovy atm but since I never played the first one I don't really know how it will play. So post here your opinions and I look forward to hearing your opinion

I doubt I will. I have no particular interest in WWII, and I don't understand the fixation with it that causes the myriad of WWII games on the market to be so popular. To each his own, but I think I'll pass.

I normally would agree with you, but the Red Orchestra series manages to really define itself from the generic WWII shooters; the gameplay is far less "spawn 'n rush" and hipshooting. It focuses on realism in the battlefield, so you usually end up thinking like a soldier instead of some constantly-reincarnated meat for the grinder. Planning, strategy, teamwork, aim, cover, and tactics play a part, unlike the CoD clones. sorry, will stop shoving RO down yer throat now but I will say that TWI did well.

Realism can be annoying and if you die too much you would rage quit.

Realism can be annoying and if you die too much you would rage quit. Well, there is truth in this, to an extent; ROOST begins annoying, but soon grows into a masterpiece...which is a problem that TWI has said they have tackled in ROHOS. (also, Danzig with too many people quickly devolves into way too many explosives) At least with ROOST, I discovered that once you got into the mindset of a soldier rather than a lemming, and began to get used to it, death is actually LESS frequent, despite realism. Players become more cautious, there is more tension. If you use your head, and plan correctly, even long time RO veterans can be brought down with ease. Of course, thats my personal experience in ROOST, just throwing my 2 cents out

What do you think that you would give the original RO out of 10?

What do you think that you would give the original RO out of 10? as it is my favorite PvP FPS, I would love to, but sadly I am unable to pay online for games so unless I find a boxed copy and mail it to ya, I can't.

I was meaning what would you rate it with 0 being Rebecca Black and 10 being super duper awesome groovy cool ninja (insert adjectives here) lol, the price is ten dollars, so I totally misread that anyways, I have to say that the game is terribly difficult to rate because it really is one of those games where some love it to death, and others prefer the Cowadooty style. For example, people have both whined and appluaded the lack of crosshairs and the free-aim that encourages ironsights. My personal rating....9/10. Why 9? Because it is damn good, and I love it, but the fact of the matter is that it has a learning curve steeper than a 50-foot drop, and the tanking system is still beyond me (too many angles! )
