Multi-clanning is NOT allowed. Why? Because there is no multi-clanning in KFL. The point is that we want people dedicated to the game and clan, who won't leave randomly or are just here to screw around. We are more of a familial unit than a group of random people met over the internet, and we want to make sure your loyalties lie with us. That was there since Oct 27, 2010 so I assume you all have read the rest (because you followed the tips to join KFL) so you must have read that aswell. Multi-clanning not only hurts KFL but the other clan(s) you're in. You need to divide time/donations between all of those clans when it will be ALOT more effective if all your time/donations where to one only. £40 to one clan's servers or £10 to 4? What would make a better difference? What's the point of belonging to a clan where you never play with any of the members? Where you just use it as a profile buff: "LOOK AT ME I'M IN DA CLAN I AM SO PR0 LOLOLOLLOL" - people here just to screw around. "BUT MY R FRIENDS R IN DA CLANZ DEY R NEEDZ TO BE INZ IT" - (actual response I got) If they are in the clan, NEVER wear the tag/contribute what's the point of them being in the clan? There would be no difference if they quit or not. "BUT I R CAN'T PLAY WID DEM DEN" - (actual response I got) Just because they aren't in KFL doesn't mean you can't play them. It means they can't be in inclan only tournies/events - if you let non KFL's into inclans, what's even the point of having an inclan? Multi-clanning also ruins a clan's individuality. If anybody can be in every clan what's the point of having more then 1 clan if all clans have the same members? Also on the note of the clan, wearing of the clan tag while in a KFL server is a must aswell. Why be in a clan if you aren't going to represent it by wearing the tag? Is taking the 2 seconds to add [}{] to your name really TOO much of an effort? Why should the clan allow you to be in it when you don't show it any respect. I know by making KFL a no multi-clanning clan (it ALWAYS was just never enforced) people will quit and be kicked. If KFL isn't even your main KF clan then you don't deserve to be in it. NOTE: Seems people think multi-clanning = belonging to ANY clan/group not just game specific. Being in a CSS clan and in KFL is okay as they are two different games.

Good to see you have cleared this up a bit but how will you tell who is Multi-clanning? Will it be by if they have another clan tag in their name or if they are in another steam clan group?

By being in another steam KF clan group is considered multiclanning. In you're in the group and do nothing then what's the point of being in there? I actually think making this official would do us more harm then good, but i see your point Do it harm by getting rid of the screw arounds and non dedicated / apathetic people? We will lose people I do admit that but it's the people we lose who shouldn't have been in the clan to begin with. Remember that normal server's max players is 6 and the custom's server is 16. That means we only "need" 16 players for the clan to function. This way we will be able to cut the fat as per se.

Sometimes people join steam groups without joining the clans for the sake of keeping updated on a favorite server or for public tourneys hosted by the clan for anyone interested. So there is no point kicking someone because they want to track the new muts or public events of a clan they play WITH sometimes but they aren't part of. Unless you meant something completely different

Phew.. glad you understand, that applies to me since I originated from CS hehe.
I totally agree with the fact that multi-clanning does ruin a group or clan. Because of the fact that sometimes the loyalty is split or not fully there for the so called "main clan/group".
My CSS clan [GG] has a strictly no multi-clanning policy. Why? Because we get "clan hoppers - people who jump from 1 clan to another" which I REALLY hate with a passion. I do not want to waste my time with people who aren't going to solely commit to the clan. Sure there are some exceptions but multiple clans in 1 game splits the commitment and sometimes wavers someone's loyalty to when the time comes for them to choose.
Sure this group is awesome, don't get me wrong.. but sometimes people join a clan for just "being in a clan" sake. Or yes, in some cases want to look pro with us, I agree.
It really depends on the person to be honest, but you really can't tell sometimes where a persons loyalty lies.
I support the motion to wear tags at all times (if possible of course or show some form of loyalty). I too have those rules enforced into my CSS clan.
My rules in the clan since 2007 are.. - Must wear tags at all times (Esp in-game) - No Multi-clanning - otherwise automatic kick - No slutting - playing for other clans other than main - automatic kick (relates to previous rule)
It's harsh but it had to be done.. as soon as we saw a member sub for another clan, we kicked them immediately. Because it will very likely happen again and they will split their loyalty. Some players were stupid enough not to read the rules.
Don't need to follow friends into another clan, we aren't in primary school >_<.
I really thought it was funny that people thought being in a CSS clan and KFL is multi-clanning, so fucking stupid rofl.
If people want to keep updated with different groups then that group should have a PUBLIC steam page for people to join in for updates. I don't see why they should join a private group just for updates, it's utterly a waste of space and stupid.
But ah well, I do agree entirely with your point.
This won't be any loss.

yeah, I am probably being lazy, Fujan, but it is also true that checking a steam page every 2 seconds for an update is pretty much unnessecary when you can just be auto-updated by joining, but making it clear with everyone that you are just someone who pops in. Also, I pray you don't make a rule against playin with other clans like you mentioned in CSS, as, truth be told, not everyone you want to play with can be in the KFL, and also KF is not a good game to stick to ONE server on.
I'm just saying that, while I'm against multi-clanning, I believe that being super strict about who you play with sometimes or what steam groups your part of is not a good idea.
